High above the baroque gardens, with the palace spread out below and the city waking up beyond it, Café Gloriette is one of the great breakfast rooms in Vienna. The buffet runs from Kaiser rolls and fine jams to smoked salmon, eggs with bacon and grilled sausages. A glass of Prosecco arrives with it, and somewhere in the room, a pianist or violinist is playing.
